AMERICAN FIRE SPRINKLER ESSAY (Seniors)

THE AMERICAN LEGION:  EAGLE SCOUT OF THE YEAR (ages 15-18)

Criteria:
-Must pursue a major in Family and Consumer Sciences Education at a Utah College or University.
-Active affiliated FCCLA member (for a minimum of two years) who has made outstanding contributions to FCCLA.
-Overall scholastic standing of at least a “B” (3.0 GPA) for the four years of high school. Individuals with less than a “B” (3.0 GPA)  standing will be disqualified.
-Possesses desirable personal qualities such as appropriate grooming, punctuality, dependability, responsibility and is well-mannered.
-Has shown leadership in school and community.

NAEOP STUDENT WITH SPECIAL NEEDS SCHOLARSHIP (Seniors)
Application:  NAEOP Student with Special Needs Scholarship or available from Miss Black in the Counseling Center.

Criteria:
-High school senior with an identified disability who will be pursuing a post-secondary program.
-Must demonstrate a personal commitment to his/her transition from school-based services to adulthood.  May demonstrate this commitment in a variety of ways:  satisfactory completion of a majority of goals as indicated on the student’s IEP, satisfactory participation in school program as indicated by attendance records, documentation of proof of registration and/or participation in referral procedures for students with disabilities, community-based support agencies, supported-living homes, etc., samples of exemplary work demonstrating student achievement toward planning for adulthood, including but not limited to goal-setting, consumer awareness, personal care, peer relationships, etc., other examples of student commitment to his/her entrance to adulthood.

NAEOP MONA SMITH MEMBER DEPENDENT SCHOLARSHIP (Seniors)

Criteria:
-This is an undergraduate program scholarship available for dependents of active, life, or retired members, who are a current member and must have held membership for three years immediately preceding the date of scholarship application deadline. A dependent is defined as anyone qualified to be claimed under Internal Revenue Service tax guidelines.
-The student must enroll in an accredited college or university. (Minimum of twelve semester hours.)
-Applicant must have a 2.8 GPA.

2017 YOUTHLINC YOUNG HUMANITARIAN AWARD (Seniors and Juniors)

T.H. BELL TEACHING INCENTIVE LOAN PROGRAM (Seniors)

Criteria:
-Seniors pursuing a degree in education, seeking a Utah Educator License.
-Must teach at Utah schools for amount of time equal to the period of time award was received.
-Selection criteria includes:  high school GPA, ACT or SAT scores, ethnicity, intended teaching field, teaching-related experience, and an explanatory essay.
-A student must complete one year of university/college before an interruption (mission, etc.) can be approved.
Award:  Full tuition and fees at public Utah institutions; up to $995/semester at private Utah institutions.

Hispanic Scholarship Fund: GENERAL COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS (Seniors)

-You will be attending an accredited university, college or community college in 2015.
-We are asking each applicant to simply write an essay, up to 500 words, explaining to us how you are advocating against the dangers of drinking and driving. Convince us in 500 words that you are actively making your friends, family, community, and our roads a safer place.
-In addition to the essay, you will be asked to complete a profile page that includes an About Me section. Together, your essay and your profile page will be your contest entry submission.

National Federation of the Blind 2015 Scholarship Program (Seniors)

Criteria:
-Must be legally blind in both eyes.
-Must be residing in the United States, the District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico.
-Must be pursuing or planning to pursue a full-time, postsecondary course of study in a degree program at a United States institution in the 2017 scholastic year, except that one scholarship may be given to a person employed full-time while attending school part-time.
-Must participate in the entire NFB national convention and in all of its scheduled scholarship program activities. (July 10-15, 2017 in Orlando, Florida)

UTAH SCHOLARS 2017 (Seniors)

Criteria:
-Earn a total of 200 points during grades 8-12. 75 points will come from the three requirements of 1) completing the the Utah Scholars Application, 2) taking 4 years of math, and 3) submitting at least 1 college application your senior year. The remaining points will come from a variety of other tasks (taking concurrent or AP, visiting a college campus, and learning about paying for college options, etc.)
Award: Medallion and recognition at THS Scholarship Night.
