-Received the Eagle Scout Award.

-Multicultural and First Generation students.
-Minimum 3.0 GPA
-Minimum 20 ACT or 980 SAT

SOUTH HIGH ALUMNI ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP (Seniors)

-Available to any direct descendant (parent, grandparent) of a South High School alumni who wishes to attend SLCC
-Intend to register for at least 9 credit hours

-The Governor’s Honors Academy was founded in 1988 through a vision of Utah corporate and political leaders. The Academy is organized to provide Utah high school students with an opportunity to learn, lead and interact with some of the foremost leaders in business, technology, humanities, science, education, communication and social science. Through interaction with leaders and mentors, students enhance their desire to learn and strive for excellence.

-ACT score is not required but it is recommended
-Cost:  $1,100, Participants are given information on seeking sponsors to help cover the cost of attendance.  (covers all expenses except travel to the GHA and spending money)

2017 YOUTHLINC YOUNG HUMANITARIAN AWARD (Seniors and Juniors)

-Seniors pursuing a degree in education, seeking a Utah Educator License.
-Must teach at Utah schools for amount of time equal to the period of time award was received.
-Selection criteria includes:  high school GPA, ACT or SAT scores, ethnicity, intended teaching field, teaching-related experience, and an explanatory essay.
-A student must complete one year of university/college before an interruption (mission, etc.) can be approved.
Award:  Full tuition and fees at public Utah institutions; up to $995/semester at private Utah institutions.

FCCLA SCHOLARSHIP (Seniors)*

Criteria:
-Must pursue a major in Family and Consumer Sciences Education at a Utah College or University.
-Active affiliated FCCLA member (for a minimum of two years) who has made outstanding contributions to FCCLA.
-Overall scholastic standing of at least a “B” (3.0 GPA) for the four years of high school. Individuals with less than a “B” (3.0 GPA)  standing will be disqualified.
-Possesses desirable personal qualities such as appropriate grooming, punctuality, dependability, responsibility and is well-mannered.
-Has shown leadership in school and community.
Award:  $1000 (4 awards)
