REGENTS’ SCHOLARSHIP (Seniors)

Criteria for Base Award:
-Complete the Utah Scholars Core Course of Study during grades 9-12.*
-Have a cumulative 3.0 high school GPA.
-Have at least one reported ACT test score (SAT is not accepted).
-Have no grade on official transcript lower than a “C” in core courses.
-Be a U.S. citizen, or a noncitizen eligible for federal student aid.
-No criminal record.
-Enroll full-time (12 or more college credit hours) at an eligible Utah institution of higher education during Fall semester immediately following high school graduation.
Criteria for Exemplary Academic Achievement Award:
-Must meet the Base Award requirements.
-Have a cumulative 3.5 GPA
-Have no grade on official transcript lower than a “B” in core courses.
-Have an ACT score of 26.
-4 credits of English
-4 progressive credits of mathematics
-3.5 credits of Social Science
-3 credits of lab-based Science course, specifically one each of Biology, Chemistry and Physics
-2 progressive credits of same World or Classical Language, other than English, during grades 9-12
Award: Base Award–$1,000 one-time payment
Exemplary Academic Achievement Award–$1,250 per semester (amount based on decisions made in the Utah State Legislative Session)
UTAH GIRLS STATE (Junior Girls)*
Deadline: March 3, 2017
Conference Dates: June 5-10, 2017, at Weber State University

-High school girls who have just completed their junior year of high school.
-Girls selected based on scholastic, leadership, service accomplishments, interview skills, and the potential to learn and grow from this experience.

WOMEN’S ITALIAN-AMERICAN CIVIC LEAGUE SCHOLARSHIP (Seniors)
Application: Available from Miss Black in the Counseling Center.
Deadline: February 15, 2017
-Student of Italian ancestry.
-2017 graduate of a Utah high school.
-Complete application and include 300-word essay about your Italian ancestry and how it has influenced your life.
Award: $1,500 (2 awards)
AFA TEENS FOR ALZHEIMER’S AWARENESS SCHOLARSHIP (Seniors)
Deadline: February 15, 2017
-High school senior planning to attend 4 year accredited college or university.
-Write an autobiography: 1,200-1,500 word essay about Alzheimer’s effect on you and your family, and a brief 200-word biography.
MULTI-MEDIA SCHOLARSHIP (Seniors)
Deadline: April 16, 2017
-Scholarships for projects in the following mediums: art, photography, video, music, and creative writing.
Award: $1,000 (5 awards)
CTE SCHOLARSHIPS AND TUITION AWARDS (Seniors)
Deadline: February 17, 2017

-Graduating high school senior.
-Planning to attend a postsecondary institution in a CTE program that is a two-year Associate Degree program or less or planning to teach in a CTE area (a four-year program).
-Must be a CTE student.
-Must have a valid Career and Technical Education occupational goal.
-Make sure the CTE program he/she wants to take is actually offered and the institution he/she wants to attend.
-Immediate employment after completing the training is a requirement for all potential award recipients.
-Must be lawfully present in the U.S.
-Must be a Utah resident.
-Student may accept other private scholarships, but cannot accept this and another scholarship from the same college or university.
-Several colleges and universities also require a 3.0 cumulative GPA .

COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF UTAH SCHOLARSHIPS
Deadline: Opens Feb. 16, Deadline is April 7, 2017
-There are 10 different scholarships available from this program. Each scholarship has its own requirements, so make sure you read through each one to see which scholarships you qualify for.
Awards: Varies between scholarships.
SUU OFF-CAMPUS HOUSING SCHOLARSHIP (Seniors planning to attend SUU in 2015-2016)
Deadline: February 1, 2017
-Students must be enrolled full-time.
-GPA of 3.0 or greater.
*PLEASE NOTE: Freshman students are not normally considered. However, if you feel you have extenuating circumstances please call Jayson or Tiffany at 435-586-7735.
Award: Up to 75% of housing costs for 1 year (must reapply each year).
GOVERNOR’S HONORS ACADEMY at Southern Utah University (Juniors)
Deadline: March 3, 2017 (Must be in the GHA office by this date)
GHA Dates: June 23 – July 1, 2017
-The Governor’s Honors Academy was founded in 1988 through a vision of Utah corporate and political leaders. The Academy is organized to provide Utah high school students with an opportunity to learn, lead and interact with some of the foremost leaders in business, technology, humanities, science, education, communication and social science. Through interaction with leaders and mentors, students enhance their desire to learn and strive for excellence.
-ACT score (You will need to complete the December 2014 ACT in order to have your score back in time to apply.)
-Cost: $1,000 with sponsorship packets available for selected students (covers all expenses except travel to the GHA and spending money)
Award: 6 college credits and a 4-year scholarship to SUU! (50 state-wide)
