The Youthlinc Utah Young Humanitarian Award celebrates outstanding humanitarian service among youth, sponsored by the George S. & Dolores Doré Eccles Foundation. Youthlinc has organized this annual statewide search since 2005. Must be a junior or senior in high school.

2017 Youthlinc Utah Young Humanitarian Award

The Young Humanitarian Award celebrates outstanding humanitarian service among youth and is sponsored by the George S. & Dolores Doré Eccles Foundation.

One overall winner will receive a  $5,000 college scholarship. One runner-up will receive a $3,000 college scholarship. Five honorable mentions will receive a $500 college scholarship.

Applicants must be residents of Utah and U.S. citizens, legal residents, or have DACA status. Applicants must be a junior or senior in a Utah high school.

-Applicants must be a Junior or Senior in a Utah high school.
Certified transcripts are requested only as proof of enrollment. The Youthlinc Utah Young Humanitarian Award rewards service, not Grade Point Average (GPA).
Award:  $5,000 (1 award), $3,000 (1 award), $1,000 (3 awards)

SCHOLARSHIP ALERT!!!  2014 YOUTHLINC YOUNG HUMANITARIAN AWARD

If you are a young person who volunteers, you qualify for the state’s largest service scholarship!  This is a $5,000 scholarship that gives recognition to students who give back to their community and both junior and seniors may apply.  Past winners of the award have volunteered mentoring youth, working with refugees and the homeless, increasing HIV/AIDS awareness, fighting for social equality, or simply spreading small acts of kindness.
