Snow College and SLCC visits to Tooele High School

Snow College will be visiting our campus on Friday, January 26th during 1st and 2nd lunch.  If you have or are considering attending Snow College, this is a perfect opportunity to see what this fabulous college has to offer.

Salt Lake Community College will be visiting our campus on Tuesday, January 30th all day.  Hyrum Robb will be taking appointments for those that would like to meet individually with him.  He will also be visiting will students during 1st and 2nd lunch, so stick around and see how amazing this school is.  SLCC has some amazing training programs that can get you training and into the workforce in one short semester of school.  Come check them out!

Deadlines and Open Houses

Welcome back and I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  Here is some information on deadlines for scholarships and a couple open houses for those of you interested in attending Snow College or UVU.

Tomorrow is the last day to apply for the Elks Most Valuable Student Award.

The Lights, Camera, Save Scholarship is due on December 1st.

The Regents’ priority deadline is due December 8th.

Snow College is having a few scholarship open houses on the following dates:

UVU is holding a campus tour on November 29th from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.

Upcoming College Visit Opportunities

There are many different opportunities to visit college campuses this month.  Some are overnight and some are just a day visit.  What a great chance to see these campuses in person!  Remember that you have two days for excused absences to visit these college campuses, so take advantage of those days off to visit. (some of these events have a small fee, follow the link for more information) If these dates do not work, there are alternate dates available, and you can always set up a campus visit just by visiting the schools website.

SLCC- Health Sciences and Biotechnology

Anyone interested in the medical field or thinking about attending Salt Lake Community College? This is a great chance to get on campus and see what the programs are like and where you will be studying!

When: October 27, 2016 from 4:30pm-7:30pm

Where: Health Sciences Center Atrium at the SLCC Jordan Campus (3491 W. 9000 S. West Jordan, Utah)

If you have any interest in the fields of Biotechnology, Dental Hygiene, Health Information Technology, Medical Assistant, Mortuary Science, Nursing, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Physical Therapist Assistant, Radiology Technology, or Surgical Technology this is a great opportunity!

There will be hands-on activities, tours of the labs and clinics, and prizes. Parents are encouraged to attend. There will also be an opportunity to meet with academic and financial aid advisors! And, there will be free food! Who doesn’t love free food?

Who: First generation and multicultural high school juniors and seniors

Why: Diversity Day is a one-day program designed to provide information, exposure, and experiences about college life at Utah State University. It’s a fun way to discover what being an Aggie is all about!  It is also a chance to get a scholarship!

When: November 20, 2015   8:30 am until 4 pm
