Amanda Jones is hosting the Mentoring for Success program coordinator at Copper Canyon Elementary. They are currently looking to recruit high school students to volunteer in their Mentoring For Success program. This year will be the 3rd year with this program and they have seen what a huge difference it makes in the school. The program will pair up high school mentors with 2 elementary students to create a unique opportunity all around. The high school students are asked to volunteer 1 hour a week in the school working with their mentee. They will assist in homework, reading, playing educational games or just visiting with their mentee.
THIS LOOKS AMAZING ON SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS! I know there have been mentions of needing more volunteer work opportunities. If you need more information please get in contact with Amanda Jones at Copper Canyon Elementary.
