The Congress-Bundestag Vocational Youth Exchange is a unique program that allows graduating high school seniors to spend a year in Germany living with a host family, participating in a school or training program, and getting hands-on work experience through an internship with a German company.
There are many fields that are acceptable to study under this apprenticeship – the arts, auto mechanics, biotechnology, child care, computer science, education, forestry, health care, hotel management, international business, journalism, political science, theater and veterinary science, and more.

- Age: At least 18 and no more than 19 years of age by July 1 of the departure year.
- Grade level: Graduating seniors
- Academic achievements: 3.0 GPA
- U.S. Citizenship
- Ability to serve as an ambassador of your country – the USA!
