The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards Program

Attention all students grades 9-12:

Prudential  has been recognizing young people for outstanding volunteer service since 1995.  If you have been involved in meaningful contributions to the community through volunteer service, they would like to recognize you!

How to apply:

Complete the online application at or  Then submit your application Mrs. Sanders in the counseling office.

Who is Eligible? Any student who:

  • is in grades 9-12
  • has engaged in a volunteer activity that occurred at least in part after September 1, 2014
  • completes an application and submits it to Mrs. Sanders.

Deadline:  November 3, 2015


  • Certificate of Achievement from the school
  • State Honorees receive $1,000 and an all-expense-paid trip to Washington, D.C., in May for recognition events
  • Distinguished Finalists receive engraved bronze medallions
  • Other top applicants at the state level receive Certificates of Excellence
  • National Honorees receive additional $5,000 awards, engraved gold medallions, and crystal trophies for their schools or organizations.  They also receive $5,000 grants from the Prudential Foundation for nonprofit charitable organizations of their choice.
