Barrick Mercur Scholarship–2015

SCHOLARSHIP ALERT: Every college-bound THS senior should apply for this scholarship!

I just received the application for one of our great local scholarships, the Barrick Mercur Scholarship.  Remember, competition is significantly less when you are competing for scholarships on a local level, so make sure you take the time to apply for this one!  Last year, 4 THS students received Barrick Mercur Scholarships, two awards were for $1,000 and two awards were for $500.

In 1989, the Barrick Foundation established a scholarship program for graduating seniors.  These awards are given to well-rounded students who demonstrate a need and a desire to continue their formal education.  Efforts are made to recognize students who may not have received significant scholarships from other sources, so applicants are reminded to be forthright and as current as possible with information as scholarship awards are coordinated with your school, college and universities, and other agencies prior to award and payment.
