T.H. Bell Teaching Incentive Loan Program, 2015

uheaaSCHOLARSHIP ALERT: If you know you want to teach, and you are planning to remain in Utah after graduation, this scholarship is definitely for you!

The TIL is a type of scholarship/loan which is paid back with time instead of money:  TIL recipients are required to pursue an educator preparation program, obtain educator licensing, and then teach in Utah public schools for a period equal to the time they received assistance. 

Deadline:  Received by March 27, 2015 at 5 pm
Application:  www.schools.utah.gov/cert/loans-and-scholarships or from Mrs. Cartwright in the Counseling Center.
-Seniors pursuing a degree in education, seeking a Utah Educator License.
-Must teach at Utah schools for amount of time equal to the period of time award was received.
-Selection criteria includes:  high school GPA, ACT or SAT scores, ethnicity, intended teaching field, teaching-related experience, and an explanatory essay.
-A student must complete one year of university/college before an interruption (mission, etc.) can be approved.
Award:  Full tuition and fees at public Utah institutions; up to $995/semester at private Utah institutions.
