SCHOLARSHIP ALERT!  If you are a senior and planning to attend SLCC in the Fall of 2015, make sure you carefully read through the following scholarship information.

SLCC offers several great scholarships for entering freshmen.  Although each scholarship has different criteria and awards, the application process is similar. Here are a few things you need to know/do:

  • Apply for admission as a matriculated student by March 1 (received at SLCC or a postmark of March 1) and pay the $40 application fee.
  • Send a copy of your official transcript to SLCC; your transcript must include your ACT/SAT results.
  • You must be a Utah resident and be a U.S. citizen, or have valid evidence of permanent residency in the U.S.
  • You must not have taken any college classes, other than concurrent enrollment classes.
  • If you have taken concurrent enrollment classes at SLCC, you may not need to reapply for admissions.  Contact Enrollment Services at 801-957-4288 for more information.
  • You may apply for more than one scholarship, but a separate scholarship application must be submitted for each scholarship, along with all required paperwork.
  • Most scholarships will cover fall and spring semesters only, not summer semester.
  • Most scholarships are tuition waivers, which will pay tuition only.  You can receive only ONE tuition waiver scholarship, but you may apply for more than one.
  • Although most deadlines are March 1, 2015, make sure you get your application in ASAP to be first in line for these scholarships–scholarship money will run out!
