The Utah Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy and America First Credit Union are sponsoring up to five $1,00 scholarships for Utah high school seniors. The Utah Jump$tart Scholarship Competition is designed to recognize students who have demonstrated a solid understanding of financial literacy concepts and are pursuing a post-secondary education. This year, they are also inviting scholarship applicants to nominate their financial literacy teachers for the Financial Literacy Educator Award. Recipients of the Educator Award will be recognized during Financial Literacy Month in April 2014 and receive a $200 cash award. The award encourages innovative and effective teaching of financial literacy and recognizes those educators who do an outstanding job of teaching personal finance to their students.
