*This is a FANTASTIC new program for students interested in Science/Engineering and the Environment!

The USSTEM (Utah Sustainability, Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Scholars program is a new, interdisciplinary opportunity for undergraduate students to become involved in science and engineering fields related to environmental issues.  Scholars will have access to research, mentoring, cohort building, special symposia, and a terrific opportunity to be affiliated with the Honors College (including housing expenses!).

The U of U is looking for academically talented, yet financially challenged students to fill these slots although the program is open to anyone.  The priority application deadline is NOVEMBER 1 (highly recommended), but they will take applications until Feb. 1.  (I know today is Nov. 1 and you probably will not be able to get an application completed today, but if you can, DO!  And if you can’t, do it ASAP!)
